More
than academics.

We are committed to educating the whole child by recognizing each student’s strengths, identities, and experiences. Through inclusive practices and family partnerships, we support academic growth, emotional well-being, and a strong sense of belonging for every child.

Learning for the littlest ones

We focus on the essentials for young ones, including tummy time, fine motor skill practice, and  helping them build foundational skills crucial for their growth.

Our teachers are fluent in sign language, and we’ll teach your little one too. They’ll learn important communication phrases well before they can talk, saving them (and you!) frustration and miscommunication.

Sparking creativity, play, & self-expression.

Theater and Role-playing

Imagination takes center stage with dramatic play, music, and dressing up, allowing kids to express themselves creatively.

Cooking

Simple cooking activities, like making yogurt bark and XX, offer a fun way for children to learn about food and kitchen skills.

Community Helpers Unit

We explore the roles of community helpers, learning the importance of being active members in the community and appreciating those who contribute to it.

Transportation Unit

Our transportation unit teaches the importance of vehicle maintenance through hands-on projects like painting cars, making boats, and building airplanes with LEGOs.
“As a teacher and a father of twins, I look for a lot of things when it comes to both the well-being of my girls and the academic development that happens at such an early age.

Academically, as my children turned 2, they were exposed to both Heggerty and Creative Curriculum, both curriculums that are used in many public schools for 3K and Pre-K. Seeing my girls recognize numbers and letters all around them and even putting together longer sentences has been amazing to see. I also appreciate the teachers utilizing similar techniques to help our girls understand how to interact with other children and build their vocabulary to express their needs in a clearer way. With Sunshine, we feel like we're all part of a team and there is carry-over between Sunshine
and home for us.”
